** Bain Capital Credit is a leading global credit specialist with approximately $65 billion in assets under management as of December 31, 2025. We invest across the full spectrum of credit strategies, including leveraged loans, high-yield bonds, direct lending, structured products, non-performing loans, and equities. Bain Capital Credit has a world-class team of over 115 investment professionals with extensive experience analyzing and managing high-yield investments.

We are currently hiring a VP to work with our Credit Real Estate Debt team in our New York office. The team invests across a broad range of real estate credit opportunities, including senior mortgages, subordinate debt, preferred equity, construction financing, and other structured investments. The role will involve evaluating, underwriting, structuring, executing, and managing investments across property types and markets.

The successful candidate will be expected to exercise strong investment judgment, lead transaction execution, and work closely with senior investment professionals, borrowers, sponsors, intermediaries, and internal stakeholders.
** Responsibilities:
*** Evaluate and underwrite real estate credit investment opportunities across asset classes and geographies.
* Lead transaction execution from initial diligence through closing.
* Assess property fundamentals, sponsorship, business plans, capital structures, market dynamics, and downside risk.
* Build and oversee financial analyses, sensitivities, and investment committee materials.
* Structure and negotiate transaction terms, including leverage, pricing, covenants, reserves, guarantees, and other credit protections.
* Coordinate legal, financial, market, and third-party diligence.
* Present investment recommendations and key considerations to senior investment professionals and investment committees.
* Develop and maintain relationships with borrowers, sponsors, lenders, brokers, and other market participants.
* Monitor portfolio investments and evaluate amendments, extensions, restructurings, and other post-closing matters.
