Job Purpose:

Houlihan Lokey’s Corporate Valuation Advisory Services (CVAS) practice delivers value to private equity and corporate clients across a wide range of industries. We are excitingly recruiting a financial analyst with exceptional valuation and financial modeling skills. As a Financial Analyst, you will collaborate with team members on engagement teams focusing on business valuation, intangible asset valuation, and financial modeling in connection with mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings and financial and tax reporting requirements.

Engagement teams range in size from two to five team members, comprising a combination of a Managing Director, Director, VP, Associate, and Financial Analyst.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

Perform financial statement modeling and analysis in connection with valuations related to M&A transaction for private equity and corporate clients

Provide discounted cash flow, comparable company, precedent transaction, and other modeling analysis to clients

Perform business valuations spanning purchase price allocation, goodwill impairment, intangible asset, and varying equity valuations

Assist with other valuation needs related to tax planning, financial reporting, and/or strategic planning

Develop client materials including reports and PowerPoint presentations

Assist in business development strategy by supporting Associates and Officers Support Associates and Officers with project work as needed

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution1-3 years of experience in business valuation, corporate finance, or related finance or accounting fields

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced modeling in Excel (VBA/Macros/AI Tools)
Exceptional financial modeling skillset including three statement modeling, DCFs, LBOs, and/or FP&A forecasting and budgeting

Self-motivated and an exceptional work ethic

Strong knowledge of accounting, business & intangible asset valuation, and applied financial theory

Excellent verbal and written communication skillsCPA and/or CFA preferred
