The role is dedicated to Principal Finance’s Equity and Capital Solutions strategy. The strategy covers junior capital, structured equity, and select private equity investments in a variety of sectors including but not limited to financial services, business and IT services, and infrastructure.

Your primary responsibilities will be identifying, analyzing, executing, and managing attractive risk/return investment opportunities. Key day-to-day contributions will include:

• Leading diligence conversations and efforts with internal teams, counter parties and external experts
• Presenting in meetings including investment committee discussions
• Gathering data from differentiated data sources to support investment theses with an evidence-based approach
• Preparing critical analysis including robust financial models, quality of earnings analysis, and KPI analysis
• Distilling information into succinct investment committee memos / external presentations

Salary range for this position: $120,000 - $210,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. • 1-4 years of experience in full-service M&A, capital markets and/or investing
• Strong analytical and technical aptitude, with extensive exposure to business analysis/research and financial modelling
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power Point
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proactive self-starter with an ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
