Managing Director​/Partner, Investment Banking​/Consumer Mergers & Acquisitions

We have been exclusively mandated by one of the leading global M&A financial advisory firms to identify Managing Directors and Partners as part of a strategic build-out across its Consumer & Retail franchise.

The appointments come at an important stage in the continued development of an already successful Consumer & Retail business. The firm has established itself as a highly regarded adviser to corporations, private equity sponsors, founders and shareholders on significant strategic and M&A transactions globally, with particular strength in advising clients through complex, transformational and often cross-border situations.

The platform has attracted senior bankers from many of the world's leading global investment banks and advisory firms and has built its reputation around senior-level client engagement, independent advice and the ability to compete for highly sophisticated M&A mandates.

As part of the next phase of growth, the firm is seeking established Consumer Managing Directors and Partners who bring genuine franchise portability and deep sector specialisation across one of two priority verticals:

• Food & Beverage
• Beauty & Personal Care

These are senior commercial appointments intended for bankers who have established themselves as recognised advisers within their respective markets and who can materially contribute to the continued expansion of the franchise.

Responsibilities:

• Origination & Business Development: Act as a senior commercial leader within the Consumer & Retail practice, leveraging an established network of corporate executives, private equity sponsors, entrepreneurs, family-owned businesses, lenders, lawyers and other professional advisers to originate new advisory mandates.
• Franchise Portability: Bring a demonstrable and genuinely portable network of senior client relationships capable of supporting meaningful revenue generation and franchise development for M&A.
• Subsector Leadership: Provide deep domain expertise and market credibility within either Food & Beverage or Beauty & Personal Care
  , becoming a senior point of reference for clients across the relevant ecosystem.
• Transaction Execution & Client Delivery: Lead the origination, structuring and execution of sophisticated M&A and strategic advisory assignments, maintaining senior-level involvement throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Current or previous experience at a leading bulge-bracket investment bank, elite independent advisory firm, established middle-market investment bank or highly regarded sector-focused advisory platform.
• Predominantly or exclusively M&A-focused investment banking experience preferred.
• Managing Director, Partner or equivalent senior-level investment banking experience strongly preferred.
• Located in, or willing to relocate to:
  
  New York, Houston, Los Angeles, Greenwich, Cleveland, Chicago, San Francisco, Palm Beach, Boston, Philadelphia and Denver.
• Maintains applicable FINRA Series 79, Series 63 and Series 24 licences, or possesses the ability to obtain the required registrations within 120 days of employment, where applicable.
• Genuine portability of senior client relationships within either Food & Beverage or Beauty & Personal Care with an established network of corporate executives, boards, entrepreneurs, private equity sponsors and other key market participants.
• Ability to operate effectively in a highly entrepreneurial environment where senior bankers retain significant responsibility for origination, relationship management and execution.
• Strong leadership credentials and demonstrated experience mentoring and developing junior bankers.
