Line of Business:Financial Crime Risk Management
Job Description:The Senior Financial Crime Risk Analyst role contributes to the development and maintenance of TD’s AML/ATF/Sanctions/ABAC programs, including frameworks, methodologies, policies, standards, procedures, awareness and specialized training, monitoring, management reporting and/or escalation of issues. This role conducts periodic and event driven reviews of customers, including targeted reviews to assess risks. Additionally, this role supports management in delivery of initiatives related to risk assessment, internal/external exam support, etc.
The Financial Crime Risk Management (FCRM) Sanctions Screening Quality Assurance (QA) Senior Analyst is responsible for the execution of the QA program as directed by QA Management in line with the standards set forth by the Head of FCRM Quality Assurance. To be successful in this role, a candidate should possess strong knowledge/understanding of screening operations, OFAC and OSFI regulations, and possess a challenge mindset with good interpersonal and communication skills.
Depth& Scope:
- Works independently as the senior analyst / subject matter expert and may coach and educate others
- Oversees and/or independently performs tasks from end-to-end
- Applies expert knowledge of business operations, products, services, methods and operating standards to drive unit or team performance
- Executes on more complex and/or non-standard requests
- Researches and investigates a range of operational / reporting / process issues
- Recommends and implements solutions within own area of responsibility
- May need to coordinate / integrate work with other areas as needed
- Provides advanced analysis and/or specialized reporting to support business partners, functional areas or centres of expertise
- Requires advanced technical / business / function knowledge for discipline supported
- High level of complexity in operational / reporting / process and/or analysis function requiring medium to longer term focus
- Represents the group as the lead or subject matter expert on projects / initiatives and/or at meetings across the organization
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years experience
- 2 years’ experience working in a challenge or advisory function (e.g., Internal Audit, ORM, Risk Oversight) within the financial services industry.
- Skilled knowledge and familiarity with BSA/AML, OFAC and OSFI Regulatory requirements, with particular focus on transactions/payments and name screening processes.
- Strong analytical skills, multi-tasking, working against tight deadlines, and active hands-on management of work
