Are you ready to build your career by joining a global financial institution. If so, our client is hiring a Client Tax Associate.
Position Type:
- Contract
- Hybrid - 3 days a week onsite, 2 days a week WFH.
- Familiarity with Canadian, UK, and Australia reporting for global employee share plan requirements.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management skills during tight deadlines.
- Proactive in engaging and collaborating with global co-workers to contribute as an effective team member.
- Strong analytical, accurate, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to challenge business deficiencies identified through the tax production process.
- Effective communication skills to articulate issues both verbally and in writing.
- Comfortable with technology and technical concepts in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple assignments concurrently.
- 2–5 years of experience in Tax Operations, Financial Services, Brokerage Operations, or Tax Reporting.
- Experience with tax reporting, tax filings, data analysis, and regulatory reporting.
- Proficiency with Canadian tax forms (T5008, T3, T5), CRA reporting, Share works, Stock Plan Administration, UK/Australia tax reporting, and Excel.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- Previous employee share plan and tax production background.
- Aptitude for learning quickly with a solid understanding of the Internet, e-commerce, and equities.
- Deep belief in team success, collaboration, and adaptability to continuous change.
- Ensure all withholding and reporting obligations of the Firm are met.
- Perform data reviews, tax forms, and interact with internal and external clients and vendors.
- Review and ensure accuracy in Canadian Tax Reporting (e.g., T5008, T3, T5).
- Update Excel files for accurate reporting values.
- Ensure participant data accuracy and manage tax filings and reporting for Corporate Clients.
- Review CRA and MRQ filings for accuracy.
- Contribute to the annual tax production project plan.
- Perform required testing on tax forms issued from Share works.
- Manage special handling requirements for clients, including tax form amendments.
- Audit tax form generation to ensure completion for all clients.
- Provide project updates to the Tax Manager as required.
- Update processes and procedures policy portal as needed.
