Overview
The Campaign Finance Board (NYCCFB) is a nonpartisan, independent city agency that empowers New Yorkers to have a greater impact on their elections. Our mission is to make local democracy more open, transparent, and equitable by removing barriers to participation. We support New Yorkers to vote, meaningfully support candidates for city office, and run for office themselves through NYC Votes, our voter engagement initiative.
We publish the citywide Voter Guide and operate a public matching funds program to amplify small contributions. We aim to lift the veil on campaign finance to increase transparency and accountability in local government. We strive to empower every New Yorker to participate meaningfully in elections so that candidates reflect the communities they serve and leaders are accountable to the public.
