INTERN AL JOB POSTING - ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT MEMBERS OF THE MTA POLICE DEPARTMENT

Request for Consideration – Police Officer, Personnel and Records Section
Supervisor:
Lieutenant, Personnel and Records Section
Schedule:
Four(4) tours of ten hours and sixteen minutes (10:16) , with three(3) consecutive rest days
The MTA Police Department is seeking qualified members from the rank of Police Officer who are interested in being considered for an assignment of Police Officer, Personnel and Records Section.
Responsibilities:Responsibilities include , but are not limited to , the following :
- Maintenance of Departmental Records .
- Assisting with the collection of documentation and preparation of response to legal requests for information.
- Preparation, coordination, and polling of overtime.
- Maintaining and publishing updates to the 30-day book.
- Assist in preparation and maintenance of Departmental Orders.
- Filing and archiving departmental documents.
Interested members must, at a minimum, possess the following qualifications to be considered for this position:
- Candidate must have completed their Probationary period.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong writing ability
- Cannot not be designated “chronic sick” anytime during the application and/or selection process.
- Omission of documented disciplinary records will result in your disqualification.
- Successful completion of the panel interview
In addition to the above requirements, the ideal candidate should possess some of the following:
- Knowledge of the rules associated with overtime polling
- Knowledge of policies and procedures associated with Department Records
- Not every candidate will be interviewed if they fail to meet the minimum qualifications
