As a Vice President with the Asset and Wealth Management Regulatory Affairs team, you will contribute to the development and execution of regulatory strategies that support our Asset and Wealth Management (AWM) businesses. You will engage with multiple internal business units, support critical internal and external relationships, and champion the firm’s regulatory policy priorities. Together, we will navigate complex regulatory environments and drive meaningful outcomes for our business and the communities we serve.
Job Responsibilities- Support the AWM Regulatory Affairs team, contributing to strategic direction and driving execution of regulatory and public policy initiatives.
- Develop and implement advocacy strategies to advance the firm’s policy priorities with US regulators, trade associations, and other external stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior AWM stakeholders, ensuring alignment on regulatory objectives and priorities.
- Manage and deepen relationships with US regulators, policymakers, and industry groups, representing the firm in external meetings and discussions.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive briefing materials, including memos and presentations, for senior management.
- Coordinate with corporate and business partners to develop regulatory policy positions, with a focus on asset management, private banking, and retail wealth management.
- Lead and direct cross-functional project teams, ensuring successful project completion and effective communication.
- Ensure timely and effective communication of the firm’s regulatory policy positions through written responses, meetings, and public forums.
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the firm’s business and strategy.
- Contribute to a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting professional growth and high performance.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 6+ years of relevant policy and/or government experience, with a strong background in regulatory affairs or public policy.
- Demonstrated experience driving public policy priorities at a trade association, corporation, or governmental entity.
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships with senior management, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and strategies clearly.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with high attention to detail and follow-through.
- Analytical and independent problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and collaborative decision-making abilities.
- Experience preparing and presenting materials for senior executives.
- Positive self-starter with excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Advanced degree in public policy, law, business, or a related field.
- Experience working directly with US financial regulators or in a government affairs capacity.
- Experience with high-impact advocacy campaigns or regulatory initiatives.
- Deep understanding of asset management, wealth management, and market structure regulatory policy issues.
- Professional qualifications from reputable training institutes or professional bodies.
- Familiarity with the legislative and regulatory process affecting financial services.
