About the Role
Increase your knowledge of New York City history, learn more about archival work, and help a diverse public access the records and resources of NYC government by becoming a volunteer at the NYC Department of Records & Information Services (DORIS). DORIS preserves and provides public access to historical and contemporary records and information about New York City government through the Municipal Archives and Library.
Responsibilities- Creating curriculum aides using primary sources.
- Conducting research.
- Language translation of holdings in the Library and Archives.
- Experience in education and/or curriculum development.
- Experience conducting research and drafting documents.
- Minimum age: 18+.
- Immigrants, refugees, ethnic groups, LGBT, low‑income communities, people with disabilities, and people with health‑based concerns.
