Location: New York

Job Summary

Your primary focus will be to leverage data and analytics to help drive the financial success of the assigned market. This includes routine sales reporting and analysis, payroll review, ad‑hoc requests, forecasting, and partnering with Sales and Programming teams to propel the business forward.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure proper control, recording, and classification of financial transactions.
  • Utilize systems and tools for data entry, report generation, research, and inquiry responses.
  • Review or process transactions and assist with financial reporting as needed.
  • Analyze trends, research issues, and respond to inquiries from Sales, Programming, and leadership.
  • Perform ad‑hoc research and prepare comprehensive evaluations, proposals, and recommendations for leadership.
  • Maintain established service level agreements (SLAs) with internal and external clients, ensuring high‑quality customer service.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, schedules, filings, and reports, including sales and purchase transactions.
  • Assist with reconciling balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow discrepancies.
  • Support period‑end consolidations and financial statement preparation, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Protect confidential information to safeguard the organization’s reputation.
  • Coordinate scheduling, management report requests, and other data requests for internal and external reporting.
  • Provide accounting documentation to support company audits.
  • Monitor and improve business processes and controls for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices for the company.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong analysis, problem‑solving, and research skills with the ability to assess financial impacts of business decisions.
  • Good judgment and decision‑making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and navigate ambiguity.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to present complex data simply.
  • Effective communication with employees at all levels and clients.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on high work standards.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and execute tasks in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated technical skills in accounting and financial information systems and applications.
  • Proficient in Excel and able to learn new systems quickly; experience with Workday, Cognos, TM1, Salesforce, and SharePoint preferred.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of related experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an accounting or finance emphasis preferred.

Compensation

Salary to be determined by relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and market data.
