Public Health Advisor

Job Title

This position involves a range of duties focused on the development and management of policies and international collaborations for the FDA.

The key responsibilities include:

• Developing agency policies for risk management of imported products and promoting national and international standards.
• Coordinating with the FDA Foreign Office Director, Deputy Director, and other senior staff.
• Providing expert guidance on complex problems impacting FDA programs.
• Collecting and analyzing intelligence on regulatory, scientific, political, and other relevant state-of-affairs.
• Collaborating with FDA leadership to inform risk-based decisions and policy actions.
• Creating communication materials to support FDA, HHS, and U.S. Embassy leadership.
• Monitoring international trends that could affect FDA and U.S. consumers.
• Representing FDA in meetings with foreign governments and other organizations.
• Conducting expert analysis and recommendations to address regulatory challenges.
• Managing projects related to the Agency's strategic plan and priorities.
• Staying informed on current public health policies to advance the agency's global mission.
• Participating in the development of the office's operations, policies, and objectives.
