Police Municipal Officer
Job DescriptionThe municipal police officer carries out the necessary prevention missions to maintain public order, safety, security, and cleanliness. They also ensure a close relationship with the community.
- Surveillance and prevention in matters of maintaining public order, tranquility, safety, and cleanliness
- Investigation and recording of offenses
- Drafting and transmission of professional documents
- Reception and relationship with the public
- Operational and organizational permanence of the municipal police service
- Surveillance of private properties as part of the Vacation Tranquility Operation
- Maintenance of public order during gatherings, festivities, and communal events
Knowledge:
- Know the police powers of the mayor and the attributions of the administrations as well as the powers and attributions of the security and justice services
- Know the actors and stakeholders in security and prevention
- Apply techniques for neutralizing dangerous weapons and animals
- Apply communication, conflict management, mediation techniques as well as techniques of apprehension, assistance to the investigation, and sampling
- Master and know the techniques for preserving the state of the scene and the conservation of traces and clues
- Master the functioning of public administrations and establishments, instances, decision-making processes, and circuits
- Apply techniques and tools of communication
Skills:
- Apply and control the respect of the police powers of the mayor in their area of intervention
- Preventively inform the public of the regulations in force
- Collect information, transmit it to the hierarchy, and follow up on the results
- Rapidly analyze and deal with unforeseen situations or events
- Account, in writing or orally, to the superior authority of the events that occurred during the service and the measures taken
- Establish and write activity reports, mission reports of surveillance and prevention as well as hand-over reports
- Develop information and dialogue with the population
- Apply the instructions aimed at maintaining the activity and safety of the premises, the agents of the service, and the public welcomed

The candidate must be a laureate of the Municipal Police Officer competition, with at least 3 years of required experience. Position open to mutation. Holder of the FIA. Holder of the B1 weapon authorization in another community. Holder of the following permits and certificates: B permit, FCO follow-up certificate, and up-to-date shooting training.
