You are a self-motivated and confident leader with the experience to coordinate and drive delivery of the work program for the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB or the 'Board'). You are able to be a spokesperson for the Board's Staff and are focused on building positive relationships with key stakeholders. You are keenly interested in public interest and audit and assurance issues and are able to drive discussion forward in a collaborative environment.
You have an eye for detail, including the rigor of analysis of issues and technical content, while always interpreting choices in the strategic context. You are an excellent communicator at ease both in navigating a multi-cultural work setting and in liaising with senior representatives of the accountancy profession, the regulatory community, and other key stakeholders. You have diversified knowledge of global auditing and assurance standards that, coupled with your strong drafting and leadership skills, means the Board and your colleagues can look to you for solutions to novel problems.
Your project management experience means you can manage diverse resources and deliver on multiple projects.
As a member of the IAASB team you will support our global mission and initiatives in fulfillment of the IAASB's strategic commitments. You will work closely with Board members and other experts in crafting standard-setting solutions to complex or emerging technical issues, support the senior technical team members in managing the IAASB's work program, including playing an instrumental role in key projects.

Your ability to operate effectively in this role will be predicated on your ability to operate in a changing work environment and with high public expectations of professional accountants, to lead and support the delivery of cutting-edge standard-setting projects and related work streams that are focused on the consistent and effective implementation and application of the IAASB's standards, and to synthesize complex variables around audit and assurance into proposals that advance high-quality standards.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES- Conducting information-gathering activities and research, including engaging with stakeholders such as regulators, jurisdictional and international standard setters, policy makers, investors and other users of financial or non-financial external reporting, governance groups, professional accountancy organizations and accounting firms around the world, as appropriate.
- Developing standards, non-authoritative materials, consultation papers and other publications within a project team that engage and coordinate with other project teams, Board members, other experts, stakeholders and other standard setters (particularly the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants).
- Developing materials for and participating in discussions of the IAASB, the IAASB-IESBA Stakeholder Advisory Council and the IAASB Jurisdictional Standard Setters Liaison Group, and actioning outcomes of discussions and decisions.
