This law fundamentally restructures how commercial waste is collected across New York City and affects every business generating commercial waste.

Successful implementation requires coordinated engagement with thousands of businesses across New York City and supports policies that directly impact the City’s commercial sector, waste management infrastructure, and related economic activity.

The selected candidate will work closely with Bureau leadership and staff to support the rollout of Commercial Waste Zones through business engagement, operational tracking, and program monitoring activities.
