Salon Coordinator - Part Time - Columbiana

The Salon Retail Coordinator is responsible for the operation and functional management of the front desk and reports to the Salon Manager.

• Suggest retail products to clients, upsell, and promote larger quantities, promotions, and additional services.
• Cross‑sell services to other areas of the salon.
• Respond professionally to customer service issues and address complaints promptly.
• Handle scheduling, cancellations, and rescheduling of client appointments.
• Process point‑of‑sale transactions efficiently.
• Emphasize pre‑booking during client check‑out and manage refunds or re‑do’s professionally.
• Maintain a clean, organized reception area that meets State Board Regulations.
• Ensure the salon’s presentation meets attendance, tardiness, and dress‑code guidelines.
• Promote the salon and its services outside of the salon.

• GED or high school diploma.
• Proficiency with computer‑based salon business software.
• Ability to handle money, count, and make change.
• Preferred customer service or cosmetic industry experience.
• Physical ability to use a computer keyboard, standard telephone, and other business equipment; work with chemicals; stand for up to 8 hours; lift up to 25 pounds.
• Age 16 or older.
