Hair Stylist - Part Time - Columbiana

The Salon Technician provides professional services related to the care and treatment of hair, nails, and skin. This non‑exempt position reports to the Salon Manager or Desk Manager.

The role requires a passion for the hair industry, continuous learning, and excellent customer service skills.

• Meet or exceed personal service and retail sales goals.
• Acknowledge clients promptly upon check‑in.
• Build a client base by recruiting new clients and maintaining client cards.
• Provide quality professional service through technical skills and prescribe appropriate retail products.
• Respond professionally to customer service issues and promptly address complaints.
• Exhibit good communication skills.
• Participate in ongoing continuing education on products, services, and industry issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure the salon meets State Board regulations.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties including cleaning, stocking, and managing client cards.
• Organize time and resources effectively to meet sales goals.
• Communicate with Salon Management regarding issues and needs.
• Adhere to salon guidelines for attendance and tardiness.
• Maintain a professional appearance and meet the salon dress code.

• Valid and current board certified license.
• Two to five years of experience in cosmetology or the cosmetic industry.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard, telephone, and related business equipment.
• Ability to work with chemicals and chemical compounds.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Minimum age 16 years.
