Salon Assistant

Overview

This candidate for this position is a recent graduate or 1 to 2 years experience in the salon/ beauty industry with a love for curly textured hair. This is an entry-level position with growth opportunities after 8 months plus work and training.

• Must have 1 to 5 plus years of experience in the beauty industry.
• Cosmetology license is a MUST, and must be at least a high school graduate.
• At least 3 to 5 years of stylist experience (required) for the full-time/part‑time role.
• High school or equivalent plus (required).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Impeccable customer service skills
• Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills
• Good analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Positive, flexible, self‑motivated, and energetic personality
• Must be able to work weekends
• BRAIDING/CORNROWING for quick hair extension
• Excellent shampoo skills
• Color assistant experience
• Blow‑dry, ceramic, flat iron skills

• Consult with guests on their hair needs, recommending professional hair care services, products, and accessories.
• Acknowledge and greet all guests and offer friendly, prompt, and courteous service.
• Use product prescriptive sheets to prescribe professional salon products to salon guests.
• Meet or exceed all individual sales and productivity goals.
• Attend all mandatory education events and workshops.
• Assist in store duties (e.g., filling salon retail displays and shelves).
• Adhere to SimpleeBEAUTIFUL standards for guest service and cleanliness.
• Adhere to salon dress code.
• Qualified candidates will be trained.

Job Type: Part-time / full-time

Experience: Stylist: at least 3 to 5 years (required)

Education: High school or equivalent plus (required)

Salary: $15.00 to $18.00 /hour

Part‑time/full‑time position will offer a chance to work with and train directly with the owner, celebrity stylist and author. All interview and training are virtual /online until the opening of NYC government.
