Beauty/Hair Styling
Please note, this role starts at $17/hr, with pay increase after a successful 90-day training period.
If you love organizing people and systems, this role might be a great match for you. Renaissance Curls is a natural hair salon in Harlem that specializes in curly and coily hair care. We're looking for someone to help run the floor on weekends, and evenings on our busiest days. You'll be responsible for keeping things moving smoothly for our stylists and clients.
You'd be the point person for scheduling, day-to-day stylist support, and making sure every client has a great experience from the moment they walk in. You'd also help organize trainings and keep an eye on our weekly KPIs; you'll get to see the bigger picture of how the salon runs, not just the day-to-day.
Required Availability:
Thurs and Friday Evenings, Weekends (Sat & Sun)
- Managing stylist scheduling for the week
- Overseeing stylists' day-to-day tasks and keeping things on track
- Making sure clients have a smooth, welcoming experience
- Helping organize and coordinate staff trainings
- Tracking and reporting on weekly salon KPIs
- Using Click Up to manage tasks and projects
- Someone with project management experience, including those looking for meaningful part-time or secondary income
- Someone comfortable with computers and new software — you don't need to know Click Up already, but you should be someone who picks up new tools quickly and isn't afraid to dig in
- Someone with initiative — you notice problems and try to solve them before asking someone else to
- Someone who's available both Saturday and Sunday, consistently
- Bonus if you already have salon, beauty, or service industry experience — but it's not required
- Starting rate is $17/hr
- Rate increases after your 90-day training and probationary period
- This role works closely with our ops team and salon owner
If this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
