We're looking for a Stylist Assistant to support our licensed stylists while helping create a seamless, elevated experience for every client. This part-time role is perfect for someone beginning their career in natural hair, whether you're currently enrolled in cosmetology school, recently graduated, or have prior salon experience and are eager to grow.

As a Stylist Assistant, you'll play an essential role in every appointment from preparing clients and assisting with services to maintaining an organized, welcoming environment behind the scenes. You'll work alongside experienced natural hairstylists, gain hands-on experience with textured hair, and learn the standards that set the Silk experience apart.

We're looking for someone who is dependable, proactive, and passionate about healthy hair and exceptional customer service. If you're excited to learn, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want to grow with an emerging beauty brand, we'd love to meet you.

• Support licensed stylists throughout the service including but not limited to shampooing, detangling, sectioning, and blow-drying as directed
• Greet and check in clients with warmth and professionalism
• Keep the space clean, stocked, and running smoothly
• Assist with setup and breakdown of space
• Restock supplies, track product usage, and flag any inventory needs

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a cosmetology or natural hair care program, OR prior experience assisting in a salon setting
• Genuine passion for natural hair and the beauty industry
• A team-first attitude
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to stay calm in a fast-moving environment
• Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods
• Bonus: familiar with textured and natural hair techniques
