The System Manager, Respiratory and Sleep Lab is responsible for supervising the respiratory therapy staff across all three charity sites. This position oversees the day-to-day operations of assigned departments, which may include clinical oversights, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, educational and training program(s), human resources management and/or other areas. In addition, the System Manager is responsible for the management of the charity Sleep Lab Services.
Responsibilities- Manages day-to-day staffing schedules for respiratory therapists.
- Assigns projects to clinical and non-clinical staff under scope of responsibility.
- Plans and reviews policies for areas of responsibilities.
- Implements operational policies and procedures and ensure operational efficiency is maintained throughout the department.
- Implements process improvement initiatives; creates/updates policies and procedures on a regular basis.
- Participates in the selection of new equipment, future planning, and development.
- Enforces safety rules and regulations.
- Provides an in-service education for the department and other personnel.
- Keeps abreast of current developments in the field through publications, lectures, and conferences.
- Oversees equipment maintenance and care.
- Maintains adequate amounts of supplies.
- Maintains departmental statistics.
- Ensures the department's conformance to quality assurance standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Manages relationship with Sleep Lab Vendor, and quality assurance standards.
- Ensures all billing and scheduling is completed for respiratory and sleep lab.
Experience: Five years of Respiratory experience and minimum of 2 to 3 years of supervisory Respiratory Therapy experience required.
Education: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
Licenses / Certification:
Clinical licensed Respiratory Therapist with registration issued by New York State required.

- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to think and act independently as well as in a team environment.
- Strong computer and keyboarding skills including MS Office applications.
- Demonstrated customer services skills.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
