Social Work Supervisor- MST-FIT

JCCA is seeking a Clinical Supervisor to join the Multi-systemic Therapy Family Integrated Transitions (MST-FIT) program, serving at‑risk youth who are currently in foster care placement, at the highest risk of recidivism and in need of comprehensive treatment. The model combines services delivered in the residential treatment setting, an approach called the Integrated Treatment Model (ITM), with MST‑based aftercare to provide a smooth transition out of placement and back into the home.

The goal is to lower recidivism by empowering parents – assuring they have or develop the skills and resources needed, to address the difficulties that arise in raising adolescents with behavioral problems – and empowering youth to cope with family, peer, school, and neighborhood problems, promoting behavior change in the youth’s natural environment. MST‑FIT treatment plans are designed jointly with family members and are family‑driven rather than therapist‑driven.

The ideal candidate will be an individual with supervisory and leadership experience, as well as strong mental health clinical training and experience. The supervisor will lead a team of 3–4 MST‑FIT therapists in implementing and facilitating MST services to youth and families. MST is a well‑researched community‑based treatment model directed at youth in residential treatment centers and their family.

• Carry clinical and administrative supervisory responsibilities for MST team of 3‑therapists
• Conduct weekly group supervision and training for MST team to assure adherence to MST principles and the MST analytic process, and to assure clinical competency in implementation of interventions
• Conduct individual supervision as needed to target clinician competency needs and to remove individual barriers to effective implementation of MST treatment
• Promote and educate about MST with both internal and external stakeholders
• Generate and manage case referrals and manage clinician caseloads
• Collaborate actively with MST Expert around implementation of MST by the program, and to ensure continued development of own clinical skills and knowledge of relevant research
• Manage and report data on clinical outcomes and program practices
• Deliver MST to a caseload of 1–2 families, as required to address program need
• Other duties as assigned

• Significant clinical experience in treating serious antisocial behavior in youth
• Direct use of pragmatic (i.e. structural, strategic, and functional) family therapies
• Individual therapy using behaviorally based approaches
• Behavioral therapy targeting school behavior and academic performance
• Implementation of interventions within or between system in the youth’s natural ecology that affect or influence the behavior of youth (i.e., family, peer, school, and neighborhood)
• Previous leadership experience including hiring and effectively managing performance

• Master’s Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, Social Work and/or a related subject area.

• Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), License Mental Health Counseling (LMHC) required and/or License Clinical Social Work (LCSW) preferred.

$65K - $80K. Salaries are determined based off education and experience.
