Licensed Massage Therapist – NYC

Base pay range: $39.00/hr - $68.00/hr all candidates must have US work authorization to be considered for this role. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualified candidates. Average earning potential for this position is $39.00-$68.00 per hour.

Company: bliss SoHo — 568 Broadway. Operating hours: 9a-9p, 7 days a week.

Licensed Massage Therapist — provide and maintain the highest standards of massage therapy and home care recommendations. Deliver excellent guest care and create a sense of rest and relaxation to support guest retention and drive treatment and retail sales.

• Provides guests with thorough and knowledgeable professional massage treatments, adhering to company protocols.
• Maintains established revenue and guest retention goals for the massage department.
• Ensures guests receive a detailed prescription plan after each service for home care regimen.
• Demonstrates full knowledge and understanding of all services and products, educating guests in these areas.
• Actively promotes spa treatments, retail products, packages, and seasonal promotions.
• Responsible for setting up treatment room according to standards.
• Upholds universal health care protocol and sanitation standards per state/city law and spa policies.
• Performs prep work, cleans, and restocks room per spa standards.
• Attends scheduled departmental meetings, trainings and workshops.
• Provides services within the scope of practice as defined by local law and regulations.

Job Requirements

• Must have an applicable state license to perform services.
• Must have completed massage training from an accredited/approved massage school.
• 12 to 18 months of experience preferred in a high-end resort or urban day spa environment.
• Must be available to work varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Technical or Administrative Knowledge

• Understand anatomy and the effects of techniques to determine indication/contraindication and the best services for a client.
• Excellent communication skills; able to provide legible and articulate communication.
• Commitment to providing the highest quality massage therapy.
• Cooperative and positive attitude; professional interaction with guests and coworkers.
• Respect, sensitivity, and concern for guests' needs with a professional demeanor.
• Collaboration and relationship-building to help achieve business goals.

Compensation will be based on commission; average earnings potential for this position is between $39.00 and $68.00 per hour.
