Overview
We believe therapy is for all and we want you to join us.
Our Story: Meghan Jackson Miller Psychological Services (MJMPS) isn't just another group practice in the Bronx. We're proof that quality therapy can be accessible to everyone, no matter their insurance, their income, or their story. Founded by a psychologist who knows firsthand how hard it can be to find the right help, we've built something different: a practice that sees people within days not months, takes all insurance including Medicaid and never turns anyone away.
The Real Deal About Working Here:
What makes MJMPS Different? Located in the heart of the Bronx, we're deeply rooted in our community. We believe there's always a reason for what people are feeling and doing. This philosophy shapes everything we do. Our growing team comes from different backgrounds because our clients deserve therapists who truly understand their experiences. Good therapy happens when you recognize the real person behind every struggle.
That's why we value your life experience as much as your clinical training - the challenges you've faced, the communities you come from, the languages you speak all make you a better therapist.
You'll actually make a difference by:
- Seeing clients who need real help and often have nowhere else to go.
- Working with people from every walk of life - different cultures, incomes and experiences.
- Being part of changing how mental health care works in underserved communities.
- Building meaningful connections with people who truly need and value your support.
- Competitive compensation with both full-time and fee-for-service options.
- 401K with company match.
- Paid time off to recharge.
- Educational allowances for continued learning.
- Quality NYSED-approved supervision toward licensure.
- Training in the administrative side of therapy along with the clinical side.
- A team that genuinely supports you through tough cases.
We want to hear from you if you’re someone who:
- Leads therapy sessions with genuine care.
- Sees their clients as whole people, not diagnoses.
- Values their own life experiences as part of their therapeutic toolkit.
- Has deep empathy for the human condition with all the messy parts.
- Can connect with the executive dealing with burnout AND the teenager whose family is facing eviction.
- Believes quality mental health care shouldn't be a luxury.
- Is comfortable working with Medicaid clients and understands that financial struggles don't define a person’s commitment to therapy.
- Is detail-oriented and understands the importance of keeping detailed client notes.
- LMSW seeking supervision hours.
- Minimum 1 year direct clinical experience.
- Available for in-person, evenings, OR weekends (at least 2 of these).
- 12+ hours weekly commitment.
- Genuine commitment to serving diverse communities.
- A deep understanding of how poverty and systemic issues impact mental health.
- A sense of humor (because sometimes that's what gets us through).
In a field where burnout is real and practices often lose sight of why we do this work, MJMPS stays grounded in one simple truth: everyone deserves good therapy.
We're here to be the practice that's actually there when people need us - not in three months, not if they have the right insurance, but right now when they're ready to start.
If you became a therapist to help real people with real problems, this is where you belong.
Your clients are waiting. Are you ready?
