Shift Timing3:30 PM – 12:00 AM Every Weekend (2 days off: Tue/Wed or Wed/Thu)
Pay Range$30-32/Hour
Project DescriptionSupported acute inpatient hospital pharmacy operations under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. Assisted in the preparation, distribution, and delivery of medications while maintaining drug inventory and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory standards. Provided pharmacy support across multiple units including Emergency Department (ED) and Psychiatry.
Key Responsibilities- Assisted pharmacists in preparation and distribution of medications in an inpatient hospital setting
- Rotated assignments and shifts to meet departmental and satellite pharmacy needs
- Received, returned, delivered medications, medication carts, and supplies to hospital departments
- Maintained accurate drug inventory and ensured proper medication handling procedures
- Operated pharmacy equipment safely and effectively
- Troubleshot automated dispensing systems and resolved operational issues as needed
- Ensured compliance with federal, state, and institutional pharmacy regulations
- Completed assigned duties accurately with strong attention to detail within required time frames
- 2-week training program (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM) including EPIC system training/class
- Minimum one (1) year of pharmacy technician experience
- Pharmacy dispensing experience
- Sterile processing experience
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Registered Pharmacy Technician License (NYSED) required
- Primary Source Verification of license/registration through NYS Department of Education
