Position: Epic Analyst – Healthcare IT / EHR Optimization
Location: New York

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Epic Medical Analyst to join our healthcare IT team. This role focuses on optimizing, configuring, and supporting Epic EHR modules to streamline clinical workflows, enhance patient care, and ensure regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience with Epic, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with clinical and administrative teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Epic EHR modules
    (Epic Care Ambulatory, Epic Care Inpatient, Clinical Documentation).
  • Analyze clinical and administrative workflows and implement Epic solutions for operational efficiency.
  • Provide user training, support, and ongoing troubleshooting for healthcare staff.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, user guides, and training materials.
  • Conduct system testing (unit, integration, UAT) and ensure updates meet HIPAA and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize Epic reporting tools (Reporting Workbench, Clarity, Caboodle) and BI tools for data analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support Epic optimization and healthcare process improvement projects.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Healthcare IT, Health Information Management
    , or related field;
    Master's preferred.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of hands‑on Epic EHR experience configuring, building, and maintaining modules.
  • Epic Certification in relevant modules is required or must be obtained within a specified timeframe.
  • Strong knowledge of US healthcare regulations,
    HIPAA compliance
    , and clinical workflows.
  • Proficiency in Epic reporting and business intelligence tools (
    Power BI, Tableau
    ) for data extraction and analysis.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and multitasking skills.
