The Emergency Management Lead provides national‑level leadership and oversight for emergency preparedness, response, and recovery activities affecting the ESRD Network Program. This role is responsible for coordinating emergency operations, supporting disaster response efforts, and ensuring continuity of care for dialysis patients during local, regional, and national events. The Emergency Management Lead works closely with CMS, ESRD Networks, federal and state partners, and provider organizations to monitor threats, activate response protocols, and guide post‑event evaluation and improvement efforts.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience managing emergencies or disasters at a national level. A bachelor’s degree or certification in emergency response, disaster management, homeland security, public safety, or a related field is preferred. Individuals without a degree or certification in these areas may be considered if they can demonstrate relevant expertise through documented work experience, professional portfolios, or other verifiable evidence of competency.
Candidates should also possess background knowledge of ESRD and dialysis care environments, along with strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
