Radiation Therapist
Location: Verona, NY
Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Monday–Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• True Beam

• CT Simulation (CT Sim)

• Graduate of an AAS or AMA-accredited program

• Registered Radiation Therapist (RRT)

• 3–5 years of related experience

• Active New York State (NYS) license

• Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance

• Deliver radiation therapy as prescribed, in accordance with National Cancer Institute regulations and departmental policies

• Operate and maintain high-voltage, state-of-the-art radiation therapy equipment with strict safety standards

• Coordinate patient appointments and treatment schedules

• Interpret physician prescriptions and deliver treatments accordingly

• Prepare and operate radiotherapy equipment (e.g., Co-60, Linear Accelerator, Simulator)

• Perform pretreatment simulations for tumor localization and treatment planning (contours, measurements, setup)

• Take portal verification images and radiographic films to confirm treatment volumes

• Monitor patients for radiation reactions and provide appropriate care and instructions

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, departmental, and safety protocols

• Maintain accurate treatment records and port films

• Participate in departmental in-services and educational programs

• Coordinate departmental and inpatient activities to ensure high-quality patient care
