Manhattan or Brooklyn, NY Organization: TRI Center – OASAS Licensed 822 Outpatient Program

TRI Center is a leading provider of outpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) services in New York City. With exclusive federal, state, and local contracts, we are committed to delivering evidence-based, person-centered treatment to diverse communities.

We are seeking a dedicated Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic clinical team. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality care within a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling to clients in our outpatient program.
  • Deliver treatment using Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs) tailored to client needs.
  • Incorporate mindfulness and meditation techniques into therapeutic work.
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain timely documentation in accordance with OASAS and agency standards.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support client recovery and wellness.
  • Participate in case conferences, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field.
  • NYS licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or permit-eligible).
  • Experience in Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment required.
  • Strong knowledge of Evidence-Based Practices (CBT, MI, etc.).
  • Training or demonstrated experience in mindfulness and meditation practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and clinical documentation skills.
