Integrated Healthcare Services is seeking a travel MRI Technologist for Brooklyn, New York. This position performs MRI procedures ensuring patient safety, accurate imaging, and quality control. Responsibilities include patient screening, positioning, operating MRI equipment, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and documenting procedures in the EMR.

- Interview patients prior to MRI procedures for safety screening.
- Ensure patient safety by correctly identifying each patient using two approved identifiers at every contact point in the MRI suite.
- Explain the MRI process and instruct patients to obtain optimal imaging results; answer related questions and address patient needs or concerns.
- Safely set up, operate, and adjust MRI equipment, selecting proper technical factors to obtain accurate studies; adjust imaging parameters and software options as needed; return equipment to its original location after each scan.
- Ensure safety for patients, operators, and visitors within magnetic field zone four.
- Prepare patients for scans by safely positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, and setting exposure factors; monitor patients during scanning.
- Maintain MRI rooms clean, organized, and safe; clean scanners after each patient use.
- Maintain proper functioning imaging equipment; perform image quality and calibration tests as necessary; report malfunctions to appropriate staff.
- Manage imaging supplies inventory by checking stock levels and anticipating needed supplies.
- Evaluate images for technical quality and accuracy, ensuring proper identification and recording of all images; present completed images to the radiologist.
- Use electronic medical records (EMR) to document patient encounters and access pertinent data and imaging results; keep detailed and accurate patient records.
- Perform related work as assigned.
- One (1) year of MRI experience.
- Relevant equipment experience.
- Associate’s degree from a Radiologic Technology program.
- Valid license as a radiologic technologist issued by NYSDOH.
- Current certification and registration in Magnetic Resonance Imaging issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Work Authorization: US Citizen.
- Preferred years of experience: 2 years.

Job #. Pay package is based on 8‑hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
