Job Title: MRI Technologist
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Position SummaryWe are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols and patient care standards. The technologist will use clinical judgment and technical expertise to ensure diagnostic image quality while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Responsibilities- Perform MRI procedures following department protocols
- Properly position patients and coils to achieve optimal imaging results
- Educate patients on procedures and review MRI safety screening forms prior to scanning
- Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure timely transmission to PACS
- Complete exam documentation and patient tracking in the Radiology Information System (IDX)
- Maintain MRI suite cleanliness and ensure adequate supplies and accessories
- Scan and upload patient-related documents as needed
- Schedule imaging studies and assist with clerical tasks when required
- Identify and report equipment issues or safety concerns
- Assist physicians during procedures when needed
- Adhere to MRI safety standards to prevent introduction of ferromagnetic materials
- Follow infection control policies to ensure safety of patients and staff
- Participate in in-services and maintain required professional credentials
- Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT-approved Radiologic Technology program
- Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and MRI physics
- Excellent technical and patient care skills
- Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
- Experience working with Client MRI systems
- New York State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology
- ARRT (MR) certification
- BCLS certification
Honor Vet Technologies Job #. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
