PHC is unique in its quality of medical, dental, mental health, rehabilitation and specialty care provided to individuals with disabilities and their families. The
** Speech Language Pathologist
** will enjoy a consistent caseload. Evaluate and deliver therapy services to adults and school-aged children with intellectual and developmental disabilities in group homes, adult day programs and/or outpatient medical facilities.
** Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities
*** Providing individual, family or collateral psychotherapy to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities
* Conducting psychosocial assessments
* Being part of a multidisciplinary team (medical doctors, nurses, psychiatrists, etc.)
** Minimum Qualification Requirements*
* * including education, experience, licensure/certification, etc. and essential physical capabilities (e.g. lifting, assisting lifting, standing, etc.)
* Minimum requirements of specific positions may vary by assigned function and/or contract. Please refer to applicable regulations/contracts for all position requirements.
All
** SLPs must meet the following minimum requirements:
*** Current licensure by NYS
* Current certification by ASHA
* Ability to work effectively with limited on-site supervision
** Preferred Qualification Requirements** *(
* desired
* requirements beyond MQRs above)
** Experience with the I/DD population (2+ years is preferable)
* Dysphagia experience, a big plus
* AAC experience strongly preferred but not required
** Compensation:
*** Compensation is 68000 - 100000 USD; including bonuses
