****** Medical Assistant
- Urology (Bilingual English/Chinese)

Manhattan, NY

* Schedule:

5 / 8.5 Hour Shifts;
Mon-Fri
******** Organization:
New York Health (NYH)
******** In this role, you will:
***** Travel to NYH locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn
* Manage patient intakes, ensuring accurate information recording.
* Collect and process lab specimens, including venipuncture and diagnostic tests.
* Record patients' vital signs.
* Prepare patients for examinations.
* Sterilize medical equipment and instruments.
* Assist providers and other support staff in the data entry process.
* Assist physicians during visits with examinations and all office procedures.
* Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing.
* Other duties as assigned.
**** We require:
***** A Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma
* Bilingual in English and Chinese a plus
* Proficiency with an EMR system (Preferred)
* Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching
* Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when handling blood borne pathogens and bodily fluids
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
* Reliable transportation to travel to NYH locations for patient care needs
