We are looking for a founding partner of an exciting new imaging start‑up. This individual should be a compassionate and skilled ultrasound technician and will be leading a team of ultrasonographers providing in‑home and in‑office ultrasounds to concierge and hospital‑at‑home patients. This role would initially help perform studies, but would only do approximately 10‑20 studies per week
. The ideal candidate would have experience and skill in a broad array of specialties including general, small parts, vascular, and echocardiography. (musculoskeletal, breast, obstetrics, and/or transcranial experience is a bonus). This position is also responsible for aspects of the daily operations of the business including patient scheduling, equipment maintenance, reporting equipment failures, and quality assessment (QA). As well, this individual will be a key member of the team helping with strategic and logistical planning.

Lead

Ultrasound Technician Responsibilities:

1. Performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations in offices and in patient homes.

2. Uses independent judgment to accurately differentiate between normal and pathologic findings.

3. Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record and adapt procedures as appropriate.

4. Synthesizes sonographic information and medical history, and communicates studies and findings to the appropriate PACS systems / physicians.

5. Assumes responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients while they are in the sonographer’s care.

6. Coordinates and manages work schedule of a team of technicians.

7. Assists with the daily operations of the business.

8. Helps coordinate QA efforts.

9. Maintains a daily log of patients seen/completes exam billing forms.

10. Establishes and maintains ethical working relationships and good rapport with referring providers.

11. Provides occasional in‑service educational presentations.

12. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Lead Ultrasound Technician Requirements:

1. Has excellent patient service communication, leadership and technical skills.

2. Possessed a strong working knowledge of anatomy and pathology.

3. Highly competent in general, small parts, vascular, and cardiac sonography.

4. Has strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and time management skills.

5. Graduated from a CAAHEP accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program preferred.

6. Completed training at AMA‑approved school and meets requirements for registry by ARRT and/or CRT.

7. Maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times.

8. Is self‑motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field.

9. Complies with Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements for specialty(ies) as appropriate.

10. Uses independent judgment to acquire the optimal diagnostic information in each case.

11. Works efficiently and copes well with chaotic and emergency situations.

Lifting Requirements

Heavy lifting: up to 25 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Must be able to stand, stoop and lift and walk without restrictions.

Job Types: Full‑time, Part‑time

Pay: $100.00 - $110.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 – 32 per week
