Position OverviewWe are seeking a full‑time Patient Representative/Front Desk Receptionist to join our Riverhead, NY site. The representative plays an integral role in the medical care team as the access point for patients to receive care, providing patient‑centered service and facilitating patient access to services in a pleasant, knowledgeable, efficient manner. All aspects of the registration and appointment process for patients will be your responsibility, in compliance with systems and job‑specific standards.
Responsibilities- Assist with daily reception activities and ensure that all processes needed for patient services are initiated.
- Communicate effectively with team members and patients about all aspects of service.
- Handle telephone and mail contact with patients.
- Schedule appointments, collect fees, and explain services and charges for patient services.
- Distribute materials to patients, including patient satisfaction cards and patient rights.
- Verify all insurance and set fees based on the sliding‑scale fee schedule.
Minimum Education Requirement: High School diploma/GED
Minimum Work‑Related
Experience:
2–4 years
Required Specialized Skills & Knowledge: Bilingual in both English and Spanish (orally and written)
CompensationPay: $20.00 – $23.00 per hour
