As our Psychologist
or LCSW you won't just be filling a clinical role. You will be one of the key people shaping how the people we serve understand and navigate the world – and how our entire team is equipped to support them in doing so. This is a rare blend of hands‑on clinical work and organizational leadership. You will carry an active caseload – providing real, direct care – while also mentoring staff, shaping behavioral health strategy, and ensuring the highest standards of care across the agency.

- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), then develop evidence‑based Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) that are truly tailored to each individual.
- Maintain an active clinical caseload, delivering individual and group counseling through trauma‑informed, person‑centered approaches that honor each person's unique journey.
- Supervise a team of 5 Behavioral Intervention Specialists across both residential and day programs – guiding their professional growth and ensuring consistent, high‑quality care.
- Work as a key member of our interdisciplinary team alongside nurses, physicians, psychiatrists, and social workers to deliver seamless, coordinated care.
- Develop training curricula and deliver staff education on behavioral interventions – building the skills of everyone around you so the whole team can deliver better outcomes.
- Participate in Human Rights Committee meetings and incident reviews, and ensure full compliance with OPWDD regulations and quality assurance standards.
- A Doctorate in Psychology (Psy.
D) and current NYS licensure. - A minimum of two years of post‑doctoral experience providing clinical services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- A clean and valid NYS Driver's License.
- Demonstrated skill in conducting Functional Behavior Assessments and developing comprehensive Behavior Support Plans.
- Experience supervising clinical staff and delivering professional training.
- Experience working across both residential and day habilitation settings.
- Familiarity with OPWDD regulations, Human Rights Committee processes, and Justice Center reporting.
