Goldberg & LaRosa Psychology Associates is seeking
licensed psychologists
to join our practice as
1099 independent contractors
to provide
individual, neuro-affirming therapy
for children, adolescents, and adults with autism, ADHD, and related neurodevelopmental profiles.
This role focuses on
clinically grounded, skills-informed therapy
addressing emotional regulation, executive functioning, rigidity, anxiety, and functional independence. This is
not Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)and is not a coaching or compliance-based position.
Contracted psychologists provide
one-to-one therapy
that is:
- Neuro-affirming and trauma-informed
- Structured, practical, and evidence-based
- Focused on executive functioning, regulation, and internal barriers to functioning
- Appropriate for clients who have not benefited from traditional talk therapy alone
Interventions commonly include:
- Executive functioning support (planning, initiation, follow-through, cognitive flexibility)
- Behavioral activation
- Adapted cognitive-behavioral strategies
- Emotion regulation and stress-tolerance interventions
- Support for transitions, uncertainty, and increasing life demands
- Children, adolescents, and adults
- Autism spectrum profiles
- ADHD and executive dysfunction
- Anxiety, rigidity, overwhelm, and shutdown
- Cognitively capable individuals with functional impairment
- Psychologists do not provide therapy to clients they personally evaluated
- Evaluations and therapy are provided by different clinicians within the practice
- Clear role separation and ethical boundaries are maintained
Required:
- Licensed Psychologist (PhD or PsyD)
- Eligibility to practice independently in New York State
- Experience or strong interest in neurodevelopmental populations
- Commitment to ethical, evidence-based care
Preferred:
- Experience with autism and/or ADHD across the lifespan
- Training in executive functioning or cognitive-behavioral approaches
- Comfort delivering structured, applied therapy
- Interest in collaborative, multidisciplinary practice
- Psychologists operate as
independent contractors - Flexible scheduling and caseload size
- Contractors maintain professional liability insurance
- Compensation is
fee-for-service
and commensurate with experience - Administrative and billing support provided by the practice
- Established referral base
- Administrative, intake, and billing support
- Professional, collegial environment
- Freedom to practice clinically without productivity pressure
- Clear boundaries between evaluation and therapy roles
