The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Epic Medical Analyst to join a premier healthcare network in Jamaica, NY. As a critical member of the IT and Clinical Operations team, you will be the primary architect of the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring it is optimized to provide world-class patient care and streamlined clinical workflows.
This is a high-impact role requiring a blend of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate with frontline clinical staff to translate their needs into technical solutions.
Responsibilities- System Optimization & Maintenance:
Lead the configuration, build, and maintenance of Epic modules to ensure high-performance system standards. - Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement system updates, patches, and quality assurance testing.
- Workflow & Business Analysis:
Analyze existing clinical and administrative workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement Epic-based solutions to drive efficiency. - Act as a strategic partner to clinical teams, translating operational needs into system requirements.
- Training & User Support:
Develop comprehensive training materials and user guides. - Provide high-level support and training to clinical and administrative staff to ensure full system adoption and proficiency.
- Data & Reporting:
Utilize Epic’s advanced reporting tools to extract and analyze data, providing actionable insights for quality improvement and executive decision-making. - Ensure all system documentation is meticulously maintained and compliant with industry standards.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare IT, Health Information Management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: 5 years of relevant experience in Information Technology, with a specialized focus on the build and maintenance of Epic modules.
- Certification: Current Epic Certification in relevant modules (e.g., Epic Care Ambulatory, Epic Care Inpatient, or Clinical Documentation) is required.
- Compliance: Solid understanding of HIPAA and healthcare data privacy regulations.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of healthcare IT infrastructure and clinical workflows.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on process improvement.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Organization: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment.
- Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized healthcare reporting tools.
- Salary Range: $121,000 – $150,000 (Based on experience)
