Travel Telemetry Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced ECG monitoring while assessing patient status through ECG strip analysis and arrhythmia interpretation.
• Identify and respond to potentially life‑threatening rhythm changes, initiate codes, record rhythms during codes.
• Perform continuous EKG monitoring with accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias.
• Troubleshoot monitoring problems and appropriately respond to all monitor alarms.
• Perform electrocardiograms in multiple settings including proper electrode placement.
• Communicate appropriately and clearly with charge nurses, co‑workers, and physicians.
• Enter and verify orders in the computer system.
• Retrieve laboratory results from the computer system and bring results to the attention of the charge nurse.
• Ensure documentation meets current standards and organizational policies.
• Manage and operate monitoring and medical equipment safely and correctly.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• MS Office Suite.
