Provide comfort and caring as a certified nurse’s aide at NYP, keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly. Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse. Improve the patient experience and maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment. Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure. Demonstrate what it means to be part of a team and raise the bar for patient care.

• Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients, while ensuring the delivery of meals and safe transport.
• Provide compassionate patient focus and perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse.

• Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration and blood pressure.

This is a Full Time Evening (36.25 hrs/wk; 3PM - 11PM) shift position at NYP/Queens Hospital. Every Weekend is required for the first 2 years of employment.

• Previous Nurse’s aide experience or equivalent in a hospital setting; or certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program, or currently enrolled in a BSN program for nursing at the junior year level or had completed at least one clinical practicum
• BLS from AHA
• HS Diploma/GED
• Must be able to complete mandatory 2 week orientation Monday - Friday from 8AM - 4PM upon hire.

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
