Volunteers of America-Greater New York (VOA-Greater New York) is an anti-poverty organization working to end homelessness in the New York area by 2050. We operate over 60 programs across New York City, Northern New Jersey and Westchester County including emergency, transitional and permanent housing. Our services extend to families experiencing homelessness, survivors of domestic violence, people living with HIV/AIDS, veterans, youth aging out of foster care, adults with behavioral health or substance use needs, and others in need, including a special education preschool program.

Position:Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Coordinator
The Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Coordinator is responsible for designing, implementing, and coordinating trauma-informed, brain-injury-responsive services across all VOA-GNY Domestic Violence and Human Trafficking programs.
This role ensures that survivors with suspected or confirmed traumatic or acquired brain injuries receive accessible, culturally responsive, and disability-affirming support. The TBI Coordinator conducts specialized screenings, collaborates with internal and external partners, trains staff, and guides individualized service planning to promote safety, stabilization, and long-term independence. The role adheres to all requirements set by VOA-GNY and funding sources regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, Psychology, Public Health, Mental Health, Human Services, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 2-3 years of direct experience working with individuals with traumatic or acquired brain injury, neurological disorders, or cognitive impairments.
- Demonstrated experience working with survivors of Domestic Violence and/or Human Trafficking preferred.
- Knowledge of NYS disability, rehabilitation, and victim-services regulations, including OVS standards. Strong assessment, collaboration, training, and case consultation skills. Excellent communication, organization, and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
