Ultrasound Technologist

Schedule: 5 days/week | 8 hours/day | 40 hours/week

Compensation:

• Local: $57/hour
• Travel: $67/hour | $2,708/week

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations, provides technical assistance to the Radiologist, and ensures proper operation and maintenance of ultrasound equipment in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures.

• Prepare and examine patients for ultrasound procedures following departmental protocols.
• Perform ultrasound examinations and assist Radiologists as needed.
• Operate, adjust, clean, and make minor equipment adjustments while maintaining safety standards.
• Ensure patient and staff safety from electrical or operational hazards.
• Maintain adequate ultrasound supplies and equipment readiness.
• Capture and transfer images to PACS and physicians’ workstations.
• Assist with orientation and mentoring of new Ultrasound staff.
• Answer phones, schedule exams, and initiate patient transportation when necessary.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
• Minimum 2+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications
• Knowledge of office and administrative practices
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion

Required:

• Associate’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Technology OR High School Diploma/GED with successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound/Sonography training program

• ARDMS – Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• BLS Certification

• GE E9 Breast Imaging / Routine Diagnostic Equipment
