Overview
Hospital Patient Services Clerk 1 at SUNY Upstate Medical University, Syracuse, NY. Full-time, permanent position, salary grade 07, annual salary $37,121.
Work ScheduleMon-Fri, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM, 40 hours per week. No flextime, no overtime, no compressed week, no telecommuting.
Location750 East Adams Street, Syracuse, NY 13210, Onondaga County.
Duties- Conduct telephone interviews of patients/family members for demographic and insurance data in EPIC computer system.
- Provide information and directions to patients and verify Medicaid, Medicare and HMO accounts.
- Participate in cross training in other Patient Access Services (PAS) areas.
- Perform clerical support duties including answering telephones, filing, copying, etc.
- Prioritize work, handle multiple tasks effectively and function under stressful situations.
- One year full-time clerical, secretarial or patient care experience in a healthcare setting.
