Facilitate the improvement of medical/surgical or pediatric charts by educating physicians, residents and other clinicians. Clinical Documentation experience is strongly preferred.

• Previous experience as a Documentation Improvement Specialist in a hospital setting.
• Experience with 3M Encoder Systems.
• Experience training clinical staff and peers.
• Holder of a bachelor’s degree.
• Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Physician Assistant or trained Physician background or training required.
• Experience working in an Electronic Medical Record environment.
• Five years of recent hospital experience and/or verifiable Documentation Improvement experience.

All roles require on‑site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
