Dietitian

Overview

Assists individual nutritional assessments and development of care plans for program participants. Performs related duties supporting program operations.

• Assists nutritional assessment and tailors food package for program participants.
• Follows nutrition care protocols.
• Assists the implementation of client specific high risk nutrition care plans.
• Assists in monitoring client status and modifies care plan, as needed.
• Refers clients to community services, as needed.
• Prepares individual and group education classes as per policy.
• Assists in monitoring staff working in kitchens, cafeterias, and dining rooms to ensure maintenance of premises and equipment in good sanitary condition.
• Utilizes effective lines of communication regarding nutrition information within the program and community.
• Documents actions in department computer system; maintains records and writes reports.

• Bachelor s Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 0-1 years of relevant experience, required.
