The primary function of this role is to provide medical procedure coverage and in‑servicing in a multi‑state geography as an Area Sales Representative
. You’ll report to the Area Sales Director for the Northeast sales region. Candidates must live in the region in which they will work.
- Providing clinical and technical support to clinicians and other staff during procedures related to our flagship product, SIR‑Spheres microspheres.
- Managing and exceeding or reaching the set business targets within your territory. Assisting the Regional Sales Managers on the Northeast Sales Team to meet and exceed their business targets.
- Developing relationships in all areas of the hospital that are key to Sirtex.
- Delivering sales presentations and performing on‑site product demonstrations to physicians and other health care professionals.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of account plans for key accounts and partners to generate strategic relationships that will result in increased sales within the assigned territory.
- Developing an understanding of the market unique to your territory.
- Continuously educating yourself on the latest information related to disease states and the ever‑changing business environment, including the newest and most relevant clinical articles that impact Sirtex.
- Always working within, and ensuring adherence to, Quality System procedures, work instructions, and other Quality System requirements, as well as Health, Safety, and Environment Management System procedures and requirements.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years’ experience in medical procedure coverage (Interventional Radiology, Operating Room, Cath Lab, Office‑based, or related).
- Previous work experience in medical device, B2B, or hospital setting preferred.
- Ability to effectively interact with a variety of health care professionals and articulate a clinical sales message.
- Proven track record of sales success, including recognition awards and/or increased responsibility.
- Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and resourcefulness.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain solid working relationships with internal and external customers geographically located within the assigned territory.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal and virtual engagement skills are critical to success.
- Self‑motivated with excellent organization, time management, and presentation skills. Strong attention to detail and follow‑through will make you more successful.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Target base salary range: $90,000‑$95,000 annually. Individual compensation will be based on non‑discriminatory factors such as geographic location, skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors.
