Responsibilities

• Provide medical advice to students regarding illness, medical appointments, and procedures.
• Transport students if needed to medical appointments, tests, and procedures.
• Help to train staff.
• Coordinate dispense medicines as needed for each student.
• Organize and check all medical paperwork of students upon acceptance to PSA and advise families on annual physicals.
• On-call to give advice about possible treatment of students when not able to be on-site.
• Assist in the writing of all medical policies and procedures.
• Serve as the point of contact for medical issues.
• Hold all completed health-related work documents.
• Work with government agencies to ensure that all certificates are up-to-date and inspections meet the highest standard for health and hygiene.
• Monitor the quality of medical offerings in line with the PSA plan and maintain a self-review.
• Stay ahead of all medical and legal issues that completely cover the school.
• Take responsibility for keeping up-to-date with subject knowledge and maintaining personal professional development.
• Maintain CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Attend training and meetings when necessary to fulfill the school's medical requirements.

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Current active CT Nursing License, RN (required).
• BLS and First Aid certification.
