37.5 hours per week, 7-day liability and a mix of early and late shifts.

Reports to:
Client Development Manager
The Gym Programme Supervisor will be responsible for designing, delivering and supervising fitness programmes that support clients engaging in therapeutic and clinical services. The role leads on programme creation, class delivery, client progress monitoring and safety, while also providing coordination and guidance to a Health & Wellbeing Project Worker. The successful candidate will work as part of the Client Development team.
This team are an integral part of Dublin Simon Community and work with our clients around training, education, personal development, employability, health and wellbeing.
- Develop fitness and wellbeing programmes that support therapeutic and clinical goals.
- Create group classes and individual exercise plans tailored to client needs.
- Oversee the Health & Wellbeing Programme and ensure all content is evidence‑based and aligned with service objectives.
- Review and adapt programmes to enhance engagement and outcomes.
- Deliver safe, engaging classes that accommodate diverse physical and therapeutic needs.
- Adapt sessions based on ability, risk, and clinical guidance.
- Monitor client wellbeing and maintain accurate attendance and session records.
- Promote a positive, trauma‑informed environment.
- Complete baseline and ongoing fitness assessments.
- Develop individual care plans aligned with therapeutic and rehabilitation goals.
- Carry out and update risk assessments.
- Track progress and share updates with clinical and multidisciplinary teams.
- Adjust plans based on clinical guidance and client progression.
- Work with clinical, therapeutic, and multidisciplinary teams to support client treatment goals.
- Integrate therapeutic principles into fitness programmes.
- Conduct risk assessments for activities and equipment.
- Ensure safe equipment use and respond appropriately to incidents.
- Maintain compliance with health and safety standards.
- Manage daily gym operations.
- Ensure facilities are clean, safe and well equipped.
- Liaise with facilities and suppliers for repairs and replacements.
- Provide clear guidance, task allocation and day‑to‑day support to the Health & Wellbeing Project Worker.
- Support learning, development and training to strengthen programme delivery and service quality.
- Contribute to supervision meetings, performance discussions, and ongoing support.
- Coordinate and support volunteer contributors (e.g., physiotherapists, yoga instructors).
- Assist the Client Development Manager with project work as required.
- Coordinate gym timetables, group activities, events, and organisational wellbeing initiatives.
- Ensure effective communication and scheduling.
- Maintain programme standards aligned with organisational and clinical expectations.
- Collect outcome data and contribute to evaluation and service improvement.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and databases.
- Promote health and wellbeing programmes to clients, staff, and external partners
