Position Overview
We are looking for a Physician Assistant (PA) to serve as a primary assistant to the doctor, providing clinical evaluation, counseling, and first assist in the operating room.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct clinical evaluation of patients in the office.
- Counsel patients and families regarding surgical procedures and address pre‑ and post‑operative questions.
- Assist in the operating room as a surgical first assist.
- Collaborate with office staff, other PAs, patients, and families to deliver high quality care.
- Maintain effective communication with outpatient staff and inpatient hospital teams.
- Graduation from an accredited PA program.
- Current NYS PA license.
- BLS/ACLS certification.
- NCCPA board certification.
- Current Infection Control Certification and completion of a child abuse recognition course.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as a team player.
- Preferred:
Surgical experience or training.
The base pay scale ranges from $ to $, with additional benefits consistent with the role. Salary is based on experience, education, and other factors.
Employment TypeRegular full-time.
Work ShiftDay shift; no weekend shifts or overnight call.
