Location: Montour Falls
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) – Per Diem – Flex
Centralus Health Ambulance (CHT) seeks EMTs to deliver high‑quality, compassionate emergency medical care and transport services. EMTs provide BLS, patient assessment, emergency care, and safe transport under medical direction and may assist with inter‑facility transports, community paramedicine, and disaster response operations.
Job Functions:
Support and embody Centralus Health System and Centralus Health Ambulance’s mission, vision, core values, and strategic goals in all duties and interactions.
:
Prioritize safety at all times, adhere to organizational policies, procedures, traffic laws, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
:
Respond to emergency and non‑emergency calls, assess and treat patients according to BLS protocols, and provide compassionate, high‑quality care.
:
Maintain clear, professional communication with dispatch, coworkers, other responders, and receiving facilities to ensure seamless care coordination.
:
Complete accurate and timely patient care documentation; maintain ambulance, equipment, and station readiness, including restocking and infection control.
:
Take responsibility for decisions and actions, perform assigned tasks to high standards, and promote transparency and continuous improvement.

Participate in ongoing education, skill development, and quality improvement efforts to enhance professional competence and career growth.

Required:
- High‑school diploma or GED.
- Valid New York State EMT‑B certification.
- Valid American Heart Association BLS CPR certification.
- Class D or higher NYS motor‑vehicle operator’s license held for at least three years.
- Completion of FEMA Independent Study Courses: IS‑5.a, IS‑100.c, IS‑200.c, IS‑700.b, IS‑800.d (or recent equivalents).
Preferred:
- Experience in a hospital‑based or system‑integrated EMS agency.
- Associate’s degree.
- Valid International Trauma Life Support certification.
- FEMA ICS‑300 and ICS‑400 certifications.
